Welcome to AOC Friesland, the flourishing world of vocational training!

Whether you choose our VMBO Preparatory Senior Secondary Vocational Education 'green' or our MBO senior secondary vocational education it is an excellent choice. This page gives an overview of everything we have to offer. Feel free to ask us further questions.

VMBO GREEN
After primary school you will of course go to secondary education. Your teachers have told you and your parents what the possibilities are. You can go to VMBO preparatory senior secondary vocational education. In any case, you go to a school where you feel at home.

In brief, a pleasant school with lots of variety where you will feel at home. Make an appointment and come and have a look with your parents. Of course, your younger brothers and sisters are also welcome.

Each VMBO GREEN preparatory senior secondary vocational education school also has classes where pupils receive extra help. These are especially intended for pupils who have learning difficulties. We used to call that 'I' (individual) education and it is now called LWOO (support education course). This form of education works with smaller groups so that you receive more attention. The teaching methods are also often different.

Learning and work placement:
The greenhouse, the animal housing, the school garden, the engineering and technology classroom, the kitchen, the home economics-health care room.

AOC Friesland, VMBO GREEN schools can be found in the following places: Buitenpost, Heerenveen, Leeuwarden and Sneek.

MBO GREEN-vocational education:
AOC Friesland has a wide choice of training courses in secondary vocational education:

• Agriculture
• Human food technology
• Environment
• Flower Arranging & Design
• Practical skills related to the rural industry

The students can follow secondary vocational education in two ways:

• Vocational Training Course (VTC)
• Vocational Guidance Course (VGC)

For the Vocational Training Course you go to school for the whole week. In addition, you follow the Vocational Practical Training for the practical part. For the Vocational Guidance Course you work at least 21 hours a week in a company and you go to school for one day a week. The final result is the same.

MBO GREEN, VGC level 1 & 2 (locations: Buitenpost, Heerenveen, Leeuwarden & Sneek)

What is MBO GREEN, VGC level 1 & 2 and what can I do with it?

• 2 days in school and 3 days at work
• education at level 1 and 2
• daytime education
• strict accompaniment
• promote independency
• for green space, human food technology, plant cultivation, cattle farming, equine studies, animal care, flower arranging and contract work at level 1 or 2.

Our MBO GREEN, VGC level 1 & 2 schools are in Buitenpost, Heerenveen, Leeuwarden and Sneek.

A complete world of education (Leeuwarden, VTC level 3 & 4)
All our courses are divided into different world. Every world has its own characteristics. But every one of them gives you good opportunities for the future.

Courses
From computer to dendrology, from flower arranging to garden arranging, from cheese making to mineral management, from country tourism to plant protection, from general entrepreneurial skills to occupational health and safety. Each year AOC Friesland again ensures a wide range of professional and amateur courses in agriculture, human food technology, the environment, flower arranging, practical skills related to the rural industry.

For us quality means:
